DOBBIN, Sydney Warwick (Sandy

Sandy passed away peacefully under the great care of the Jane Winstone Retirement Village on Thursday, 9th June 2022, at the grand old age of 90. Much loved husband of Sue, father and father-in-law of Tim and Lynn, Kate and Peter (Oliver), Emma and Mark (East), and Matthew and Louisa; and Grandpa of Sophie and Felicity; Poppy, Rosa, and Kitty; William, George and Eliza; and Felix, Lewis, and Rupert. A service to celebrate Sandy’s life will be held in the Collegiate School Chapel, Liverpool Street, Wanganui, on Friday 17th June 2022, at 2pm. The service will be livestreamed on www.clevelandfunerals.co.nz. Watson family
Many years ago our mum was the cleaning lady at Jolly Dobbin and Cairncross for a number of years. Mr Dobbin was so pleasant, just a really nice man to our mum. Always greeting her and pausing to have a chat. Condolences to family.

To Sue and the Dobbin Family. The Trustees and Volunteers of the Virginia Lake Trust were all so sorry to learn of Sandy's passing. Just one of his many legacies is what we do around that Lake that he loved and we still are determined to properly acknowledge his efforts at that special place. Our very sincere condolences. Terry.

Sandy was such a wonderful man and a true gentleman - I was his Account Manager for a number of years and always enjoyed my visits with Sandy who always treated me with such kindness and warmth. Condolences to Sue and family I know you will miss him dearly. A huge loss.

Mr Dobbin (I can't call him anything else, that is my respect.) I have very fond memories, from watching him bring Miss Bernau to school in the mornings. I remember the kids coming into the office, I will never forget the way he treated me personally, always made me feel valued as I valued him. My heart goes out to you.
