Joan LITHGOW
Passed away peacefully on 21st April 2026 at home with her family by her side, after a short illness. Aged 86. At rest now, after working tirelessly her whole life. Wife of the late Stafford Lithgow. Mother and mother-in-law of Dean and Andy, Mark and Karen. Granny to her adored grandchildren, Casey, Stafford, Jimmy and Hunter. A private celebration of Joan’s life has been held as were her wishes.
Loretta and I were sad to hear of Joan’s passing away. We were fortunate enough to catch up with Joan for a coffee while in Wanganui last November , with my brother Alastair . Joan stayed with us when she first came to Wanganui and was good friend of our family . Our thoughts are with the family at this sad time
