Peacefully on Tuesday 18th August 2026. Much loved husband of 52 years to the late Christine. Dad to Dwayne, and Blair. A loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.  A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held in the Cleveland Chapel, 179 Ingestre Street, Whanganui on Tuesday 25th August 2026 at 11am, and will be live-streamed at www.clevelandfunerals.co.nz

So glad you made it to the Hui last year Mike. Our family will miss popping in to visit you when we visit Whanganui cuz. Thanks for your warm welcome and stories about the family over a cuppa. Will miss that twinkle in your eye. So glad you will now be joined with your beloved Christine. Love and sympathies to the whānau. Moe moe rā. Rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers extend to the family at such a sad time. Having worked closely with Mike for over 30 years I can’t express my grief enough to a wonderful man who was, and will remain a significant mentor to myself over this time. God bless you Mike, and I take solace in the fact that you are once again sharing the company of your beloved Christine. Rest well my dear friend and I pray one day we will meet again and continue to share the opportunity to laugh together. My sincere condolences extend to the family at what is such a difficult time. Fly high my friend! ❤️
